Archives of Otolaryngology and Rhinology  Letter to Editor Image Guided Frontal Sinus Mapping: Our Technique Access to the frontal sinus is challenging and both external and endoscopic approaches are described in the literature. Where an external approach is indicated, a bicoronal osteoplastic flap procedure is generally preferred as this reduces fronto-ethmoidal recess stenosis and allows obliteration if required [1]. http://www.peertechz.com/Otolaryngology-Rhinology/AOR-1-102.php

International Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Developmental Research Research Article   A Pharmacokinetic Analysis and Pharmacogenomic Study of 6-mercaptopurine Background: The efficacy and safety of 6-mercaptopurine (6-MP) therapy rely on the concentration of its metabolites. The aim of the current study is the pharmacokinetic analysis of 6-MP and the detection of its metabolites as well as the role of Thiopurine S-methyl transferase (TPMT), the enzyme associated with 6-MP metabolism, as a pharmacogenomics biomarker. http://www.peertechz.com/Pharmaceutical-Sciences-Developmental-Research/IJPSDR-1-102.php
Archives of Renal Diseases Research Article The Lack of the Knowledge about the Postprandial Blood Glucose by the Education using the Single Absolute Tool for the Diabetic Dietary Therapy in Japan The diabetic dietary therapy is the primary strategy to control and prevent the progression of diabetes and its complications. Energy counting based on diabetic food exchange lists, in which 1 exchange unit is equivalent to 80 kcal, has been used as the single absolute tool in dietary education in Japan for patients with diabetes for 1993 to 2013 by Japan Diabetes Society. And the 5th and 6th editions of this material had put emphasis on only energy intake and made light of the fact that the postprandial blood glucose levels depend on carbohydrate intake. This approach may have created a misunderstanding among Japanese people that postprandial blood glucose levels are dependent on energy intake.   http://www.peertechz.com/Renal-Diseases-Management/ARDM-1-101.php

International Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Developmental Research EDITORIAL Heat Shock Protein 90 c-Terminal Inhibitors in Cancer Treatment Heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90) is 90 kDa highly conserved dimeric chaperone protein in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells and it is localized in different parts of the cell. Hsp90AA1 (inducible) and Hsp90AB1 (constitutive) are available in the cytosol; Grp94 and TRAP1 exist in endoplasmic reticulum and mitochondria; respectively. In unstressed cells, expression level of Hsp90 corresponds to 1-2% of total cellular protein, and Hsp90 is responsible for protein folding, maintenance and degradation of misfolded proteins, cell cycle control, and cellular signaling. Hsp90 is composed of three domains: N terminal domain (NTD), middle domain (MD), and C terminal domain (CTD). Hsp90 needs ATP hydrolysis energy to perform chaperone functions. NTD has ATP binding sites and ATP hydrolysis leads to large conformational changes for interaction bet

International Journal of Oral and Craniofacial Science Research Article Peripheral Nerve Regeneration using Silicone Rubber Chamber Combined by Local Administration of Cyclosporin a in Streptozotocin Induced Diabetic Rats Introduction: The repair of peripheral nerve injuries is still one of the most challenging tasks and concerns in neurosurgery. Effect of cyclosporin (CsA) loaded silicon conduit as an in situ delivery system of CsA in bridging the defects was studied using a sciatic nerve regeneration model in diabetic rats. Methods: A 10-mm sciatic nerve defect was bridged using a silicon conduit (SIL/CsA) filled with 10 μL carrier-drug dilution (10 ng/mL CsA). In control group (SIL), the conduit was filled with the same volume of the phosphate buffered solution. The regenerated fibers were studied 4, 8, 12 and 16 weeks after surgery. http://www.peertechz.com/Oral-Craniofacial-Science/IJOCS-1-104.php

International Journal of Aquaculture and Fishery Sciences Research Article Molecular Cloning and Characterization of Dmc1 from the Chinese Mitten Crab ( Eriocheir sinensis ) Dmc1, a member of the RecA/Rad51 superfamily, is essential for meiotic recombination. In this study, a Dmc1 gene (EsDmc1) was identified from screening the larval transcriptomes of Chinese mitten crab Eriocheir sinensis. The full-length cDNA of EsDmc1 was 1478 bp long and contained a 1026 bp open-reading frame encoding 341 amino acids. International Journal of Oral and Craniofacial Science Research Article Treatment-assessment of Zygoma-tripod, -quadripod, -arch and Orbital floor Fractures in the Elderly Patient: Results of a Longitudinal Clinical Study of 20 years (1995-2015) with 1318 Patients in a General Traumatology-department and Evidence-based Treatment Suggestions The ever growing population of elderly patients aged 70 years and onwards are prone to facial injuries caused by a general degrading medical and mental state. Main cause for zygoma-tripod, -quadripod, -arch and orbital floor fractures are falls, followed by traffic accidents and only to a small extent violence. Surgical reduction for these types of fractures is recommended but not correlated to the general medical and mental state of this patient-group. Aim of the study was to compare the outcomes of surgical treatment versus non-surgical observation. http://www.peertechz.com/Oral-Craniofacial-Science/IJOCS-1-102.php

Journal of Neurology, Neurological Science and Disorders Review Article Priorities in Movement Disorders Research  Objectives: To analyze the patterns of movement disorders prospectively using the registry of movement disorders in our institution and to identify some research priorities. Background and purpose: Movement disorders are common reasons for consultation and referrals in our hospital. They are often thought to affect movement only. However, most patients also experience psychiatric, cognitive, and other non-motor symptoms, either from the disease itself, or as a side-effect of medications. No data has been obtained regarding movement disorders in our institution. With the use of our registry, we aim to document findings prospectively, for use as data mining to support a variety of researches in the future, and to guide us as to priorities in services, teaching and research. http://www.peertechz.com/Neurology-Neurological-Scienc

Journal of HIV for Clinical and Scientific Research Review Article Evaluation of the Therapeutic Efficacy of Antiretroviral Drugs used in the Clinical Management of HIV/AIDS Infection The protease inhibitors are potent antiretroviral drugs because the protease activity is absolutely essential for production of infectious viruses. The newest class of drugs is the fusion inhibitors that blocks virus entry into cells. Persistent virus production is facilitated further by sub-inhibitory drug levels in infected cells or by host immune failure. Therefore, pre-existing or newly produced drug resistant mutants can emerge that have a selective advantage under drug pressure. These escape mutants become dominant in the virus population and lead to viral rebound and therapy failure. This review provides knowledge for improvement of antiretroviral drug administration programmes http://www.peertechz.com/HIV-Clinica

Journal of Dental Problems and Solutions Research Article Oral Health Outcomes for Children in Hawaii: Not Much to Smile About Oral health has become a major topic of discussion in the State of Hawaii based on the unreasonably high rates of dental caries in children, which are almost twice the average rates for children living in the mainland. Lack of water fluoridation, absence of a state dental school and recent efforts to start rebuild the previously dismantled oral health branch at the Department of Health may be contributing to these poor oral health outcomes. http://www.peertechz.com/Dental-Problems-Solutions/JDPS-2-114.php
