Digital Revolution: Informatics for Oral Healthcare Profession


The science of informatics has transformed the healthcare profession by the extraordinary revolution in information technology, and continues to do so. Oral health profession is no exception to this and the discipline of dental informatics is influencing it in clinical care, education, and research. The scope of dental informatics has not yet been extended to the use of artificial intelligence expert systems in diagnosis and treatment plan, effective tutoring systems, and continuing dental education programmes and research.
